Eagles Prepare For Second Game of Home Stretch Against San Diego Gulls
After dropping the first game of the three-game home series against the San Diego Gulls 5-2, the Eagles look to turn things around and take the second match-up on Friday, Mar. 4.
Even with a season-high of 52 shots on goal, the Eagles couldn't seem to get past San Diego's Lukas Dostal. The Gulls were able to capitalize on power plays by and large more than Colorado, which is what made the difference on the ice.
Though the Wednesday loss was hard to swallow, the Eagles have a chance to take the series should they sweep San Diego in the next two games Friday, Mar. 4, and Saturday, Mar. 5.
In addition to an exciting night of hockey, Friday's game also happens to be Teacher Appreciation Night.
Through Teacher Tuesday with Townsquare Media, February's winning teacher - Chelsea Sanchez from Laurel School of Arts and Technology - will be dropping the puck at the game.
Over the course of the 2021-22 season, the Eagles have only faced the Gulls three other times, and not once in a multiple-game series. After the loss on Wednesday night, the Eagles are now 3-1 on the season against San Diego.
Tickets for this weekend's games are still available online, but sparse for Friday's game.
