Greeley's City Council will be deciding on whether to accept JBS' donation to help build a new Greeley Stampede stage at Island Grove Regional Park.

The Greeley Tribune reports that JBS USA Inc. will be allocating $5 million towards Greeley and the area's non-profits to help with the economic and health issues stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

JBS has meatpacking facilities in more than 50 cities across the U.S, and each of those cities will be getting a portion of the $50 million that the company has set aside.

The Greeley Stampede does have a plan in place for a new stage, at a cost of $2.1 million; if accepted, JBS would be donating $1 million, a majority, of the costs to build the stage.

With that, they'd like naming rights to the stage, while it's a part of the Greeley Stampede; according to the Greeley Tribune, the Greeley Stampede has an agreement that goes until 2049.

I've spent many summer nights at the Greeley Stampede, and though the stage has made improvements over the years, this new/expanded stage is more than welcomed, in my opinion.
