While the quest for a state title was halted last year, Highland is working another run in 2021. After falling to Eaton 79-65 in the season opener, the Huskies have won their past six games. Highland is currently ranked No. 12 in the latest Class 3A poll.
After being one of the top scorers in the state last year, senior guard Jase Bessire is leading Highland with 22.9 points per game. After scoring a combined 48 points in the past two games, Bessire is this week’s Townsquare Media High School MVP.
