Labor Day weekend is almost here! With the celebration always comes some changes to road and transportation availability, so the City of Fort Collins has announced what closures to expect for Labor Day.

All City offices, library branches, and the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery will be closed in honor of Labor Day. However, the Foothills Activity Center, Edora Pool and Ice Center, and the Senior Center will still be operating during their regular hours.

Transfort services will also be unavailable on Labor Day, but law enforcement will continue operations as usual. All offices that will be closed for Labor Day will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

As a reminder, the Colorado Department of Transportation is really cracking down on impaired driving, especially this time of year. Their implemented program of higher law enforcement presence for the end of the summer through Labor Day is still in full swing. So, be responsible and never drive impaired.

There are a few non-Labor Day events happening over Labor Day weekend, so keep an eye out for those! For one, Colorado State Football is kicking off their season on Friday night at 7 p.m. against South Dakota State in Canvas Stadium. Tickets are still available for purchase through the CSU.
