Windsor, Platte Valley Girls Make State Basketball Title Games
The Windsor Wizards and Platte Valley Broncos from Northern Colorado will both have a chance to win state basketball titles this weekend.
Both schools are the No. 3 seed in their respective classes.
Windsor beat Green Mountain 70-44 on Thursday to advance to Sunday's Class 4A title game against No. 4 Mullen at 3 p.m. on Sunday. The Wizards beat Pueblo County, Northridge and George Washington previously in its run to the Final Four.
Platte Valley, meanwhile, beat No. 7 University (Greeley) 60-49 on Thursday and will face No. 4 Lutheran at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the Class 3A title game. The Broncos had a bye in the first round before beating Sterling and Eaton in its run to the Final Four.
