CSU Volleyball Coach Tom Hilbert Out For Next Two Matches, Enters COVID-19 Protocol
Colorado State volleyball will be without head coach Tom Hilbert for their next two matches as Hilbert enters COVID-19 protocol.
Hilbert, who is in his 25th season with the Rams, has done what he does best, and that is coach a CSU team that sits atop the Mountain West Conference standings.
The team was off to a questionable start to the season where it seemed they were struggling to find their rhythm. Now, the team has a high likelihood of bringing home yet another conference title.
Luckily for the Rams, Hilbert has a strong staff behind him as assistant head coach Emily Kohan will be taking the helm for CSU.
The Rams will be heading to Wyoming tonight (Nov. 9) to face off against the Cowgirls. They are then returning home to host Fresno State on Saturday, Nov. 13. Hilbert will miss both games.
Unfortunately, Saturday's game against Fresno State will also be senior day, though I am sure Hilbert will be watching as closely as he possibly can.
Single-game tickets for CSU volleyball are still available online.
The volleyball team is not the only team that is currently playing in Moby Arena this season. The CSU men's and women's basketball teams have their home openers tonight against Oral Roberts and Colorado Christian respectively. Both teams are set to have highly anticipated seasons.
