Poudre Valley, Medical Center of the Rockies Make Top 100 Hospitals List
Two Northern Colorado hospitals have landed on the Fortune/IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals list in 2020, and in a pandemic, it's reassuring to know that we have some of the best health care in the country. Congratulations to Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins and Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, both recognized as two of the best.
'This annual study highlights the best-performing hospitals based on a balanced scorecard of clinical, operational and financial metrics based on publicly available data,' UC Health said in a press release. 'According to Watson Health, the recognized hospitals had better survival rates, shorter lengths of stay, faster emergency department visits, lower inpatient expenses and higher ratings from patients, among other notable achievements.'
Overall, UC Health landed in the top 15 health systems. PVH has been on the top 100 hospitals list 14 times in the last three decades, while MCR, a newer facility, has made the list four times, the release noted.
We thank our frontline workers and medical professionals for doing an outstanding job.
